Glass Flower

I made a glass plate flower.
It was so easy to make!
One large plate,
one small plate,
and one candle holder.
Glue it together.

Then I glued a thing called a bell hanger
- it's in the plumbing section -
to the back of the big plate.
I then attached a 3/4 in pipe to the bell hanger.
And then I planted it!

  4. Could we see the back of the plate so we know what a bell hanger looks like? So pretty!

  5. Terri - Here is a post with a picture of the bell hanger http://dustbathladies.blogspot.com/2009/09/birdbath-blooms-and-junk.html

And as a note - This glass flower is alive and still looks as good as the day I made it :) It's survived a lot of cold, snow, ice, rain, hail and hot summer sun.

  6. I made these and even sold a few. My problem has been keeping them on the bell hangers. I used the weatherproof silicon, then switched to epoxy but have still had a few failures. Do you have any suggestions?

  7. i've read to use Plumber's Goop. and it depends on where you live. extreme winters are hard on the glue. and super extreme summers are too. i've also heard automotive goop does well (b/c of heat issues). i live in Florida, so don't have extreme winters. our heat is hot, but not like the desert areas in the US. we'll see how they do this summer!
